HOT NEWS
HHCC NEWSLETTER – MARCH 2012
The lighter evenings and recent improvement in the weather signifies not only the onset of spring, but that the cricket season is fast approaching. The club has an earlier start than usual this year. We have been drawn to play John Fisher CC, at home, in the preliminary round of the League Cup on Saturday, 21st April.
The following weekend, 28th and 29th April sees the start of the regular season with league matches the week after that. The 2012 league season runs from 5th May to 1st September, with no games scheduled for 28th July due to the Olympic cycling event closing down large parts of Surrey.
Please let captains know your availability for the first few weeks of the season as soon as you can.

A reminder to all members that 2012 subscriptions are now due and where applicable, the early payment deadline is 1st April. Fees increase significantly after this date, so take advantage of the discount and pay as soon as possible.

PAVILION UPDATE
Tenders have been received from five building contractors and have been reviewed by the rebuild committee and our architect, Steve Macdonald. Two of the contractors have been selected to work with the architect to develop their proposals, including the possibility of using a modular system of insulated panels. It is hoped that this system will create considerable time savings during construction.
The committee are hoping to receive positive news from at least two major funders before the start of the season.
SPONSORSHIP
The club is delighted to announce that The Rising Sun will be our sponsors for the 2012 season. The deal further cements the relationship the club has had with the pub since the fire. New playing shirts carrying the Rising Sun logo and the new club badge will be available soon.
SUPERMARKET VOUCHERS
Sainsbury’s and Tesco have launched their voucher schemes for 2012 and the club has again registered to collect them. We received lots of new kit from the scheme last year so encourage as many friends and family to save the vouchers. Collection boxes will be in the clubhouse once the season starts or colt’s coaches will collect them from you.
